MIA Balancing Valves

Duct-mounted balancing valves for precise airflow distribution to individual rooms. Manual lock-shield valves for fixed setpoints, self-balancing valves for automatic distribution. Essential for multi-room ERV systems to ensure correct flow per room.

Technical Highlights

Manual Balancing Valve

Graduated rotary disc with locking screw. Set flow from 10–100% of duct capacity with visible scale reading. Lock with set screw after commissioning — tamper-resistant.

Self-balancing Valve

Spring-loaded iris mechanism maintains constant preset flow regardless of system pressure variations. No manual re-balancing after ERV fan speed changes. Ideal for variable-speed DC ERV systems with smart controllers.

Commissioning

Measure flow at each outlet with anemometer. Adjust valves starting from the outlet furthest from ERV. Re-measure and fine-adjust until all outlets are within ±10% of target flow.
